Floor Jack suitable for 2007 G?

I plan on changing out my own winter tires on my G. I purchased a torque wrench and have the wheels and lugs but I need a floor jack.

I don't want to use the factory jack for this each year. I haven't checked it out but they are usually pretty flimsy and not designed for regular usage (IMO, anyway).

Any suggestions on a good jack to buy AND of the proper placement of it under the car without inflicting damage? I don't want to screw anything up...

Thanks in advance for your ideas

easiest way to change the tires is to jack from the rear differential and front cross brace locations in the center of the car. Should have a picture of it in the manual. The rear you should be able to jack directly, while the front usually doesn't have enough clearance to reach the jack point unless you have a low profile racing jack. To get the car high enough in the front, build some ramps out of 2x6 wood pieces to drive onto to get the front elevated enough to slide a normal jack under there, then proceed with the jacking, and pull the ramps out to change the wheels

Well, you prob want something higher, but they work really well for me. I use the smaller lightweight blue one at the track. Take it with me to races. Keep the bigger silver one at home, although to be honest, I really just use the blue one all the time. It's smaller and lighter, so much easier to maneuver around the garage floor...

im using a normal craftsman 3 ton floorjack from sears and i'm able to jack up from the front center point as well as the rear (although for the front I need to go up ramps first).. but it's definitely so much easier to use those center jack points instead of having to jack up 4 times
