Tires replacement

Maybe its a dumb question but replacing my tires of the same size of any brand does not affect my factory warranty. Is that correct?

My OEM tires are close to 20K miles and i saw some crack marks on the edge of the tire -- is that normal wear and tear ?

That's correct. It's a good pratice to match Speed and load ratings, though. (I can't comment on Warranty, though, if you used a lesser speed/load rated tire.)

I know that it can be expensive to replace all 4 tires. With mounting, warranty, tax, and "free" tire rotation, it is costing my $855.

www.tirerack.com is the way to go. they ship to a local shop and mounting and balancing is like 17 per tire. i recommend Dunlop Sport Maxx. beware, most have swtiched sizes because the OEM size comes in a limited and in my opinion ****ty assortment of tires.

I have the Avid V4S. It's decent, and has a much greater tread life rating than the stock Goodyear RSAs. If you meant the W4S (not 5), then it should be a good Ultra High Performance All-Season tire; especially for the $$$
