23k on oem tires/stock 18's ????

I have an 05 coupe with oem 18's i have put 23k on the original tires and am about to replace them....... is this to soon???? I think the fronts still pass the penny test but the rears are very very borderline. thanks for any opinions/advice.

that's about how long mine lasted, i have an 05 6MT coupe with OEM 19's. rears were pretty much bald by 23K... my fronts are still good, although with uneven wear due to my springs

KUDOS to both of you, I got my new wheels at about 10k and my tires were way below 50%. I must drive way to hard, or the roads in the BAY suck!

Pretty normal for most of us. Inside of the rears go first, assuming everything is aligned right. If you plan the same tires just replace the rears first. I am not sure about mixing brands between front and rear, but definitely keep the same size if you do.
Otherwise swap all 4 for new ones. That's what I did.

i actually have the 4 new tires ready to go but have not mounted them yet. I just did not want to put them on prematurely. I got 225/45 18 front and 245/45 18 rear, just like oem fitment, in Falken ziex ze-912. I decided to go all season living in PA

23k miles? i dont think i can type "ROFL" big enough to express my sarcasm. My car has 27k miles almost, and ive gone through 3 sets of tires, 4 soon....with stock 19's and stock suspension setup.

I really wish i knew why, but every 6 months i align the car, and when i check the tires, they are round on the inside, and showing white threading........Micheline PS2's - so their not crap. I wish i knew why.

All i hope is for someone to at least share my pain with them and say they go through the same thing.

Sounds like it, but the alignment does go south fairly easy on these. Esp. toe-in both F and R.
