Question Rear Brakes / Rear Tires

Good Afternoon,
This is my first post and I hope I am in the correct Tech Section. I have a 2005 G Coupe, AT, w/sport tuned suspension and 18k miles on it. I need to replace both Rear Rotors, pads and rear tires. This car is my wifes (G35Coupe-Gal) and is completely original, she purchased it new and we have never really done anything to it except change the oil and filters, rotate tires and such. The Dealer Shop has always performed the recommended procedures.

First off, I am mechanical and I have done many brake jobs over the years, however I have never done the brakes on a vehicle with VDC and ABS systems and I want to hear from some of you who have actually done this successfully to help me determine if I can do it safely and with confidence.

I'm also looking for alternative tire recommendations from some of you who have had actual experience with the same size, other brands. Also looking for a brands recommendation for the pads, I'm assuming the Nissan rotors are adequate for her. We are both conservative drivers and don't drive real fast, but some highway travel, and we were hoping for a little more mileage on these items. We live in Northern CA, with fairly mild to moderate winters with no snow but some rain throughout the year and very rarely any ice, in which case, we won't be driving this car.

Thank you for any help you may be able to provide me with.

Regards,
Paul

The brake job is no different for a vehicle with VDC/ABS. Just remove the caliper, replace the rotors and pads, bleed the system, and you are good to go.

The brake job is the same. If you are just changing the rears I would stick with what is on the front. I would look into Hawk HPS pads; they are very nice and have a lot less dust.
