Final Decision For New Tires For 19's Please Help!

Hi, I decided to go with the ADR M-Classic 19x8.5 rims with a 40mm offset! Now jsut need a final answer for my tires, should I go 235/35-19 or 225 in the front, I have the sports sedan so would a 235 rub in wheel well? Now for the rear tires, shoudl I go 245/35-19?? I think I want to go 235/35-19 and definitely the 245/35-19 in the rear. Also maybe I should go the 235/245 but 40?? I need peoples opinions pleasee. Thanks so much, iLLG Martin

personally if i was running the same width wheel, i would run the same size tire all around. this could save u money on tires in future cuz u could always swap the rear ones to the front and vice versa. run the 245/35/19's all around.

That would be cool to do but one problem or at least everyone says it is. I have the sports sedan and they say 235 at the front is the widest. Can I go 245 without rubbing on the fender kye? Thanks, Martin

245's will not rub in the front with a +40 offset. I had 245/40/19"s on 19x8.5 wheels all around in my sedan with the +40 offset with no problems whatsoever. Go with the 245's. They fill out the fender very well.

al thanks for the info. By the way do you have any pics of your sedan with those rims? And is the 245 real wide in the rear for that traction and aggressive look ? Thanks man Martin

Re: Final Decision For New Tires For 19's Please Help!

glad I could help. I just sold them on ebay here: http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/ws/eB...K%3AMESSO%3AIT

I didn't take many pictures of the wheels but here's one that shows the rears in profile. I was showing off my lip spoiler: http://www.imagestation.com/album/?id=4289368683&idx=7

To answer your question, I thought that the 245's were the perfect size in terms of looks and performance.

Thanks very much for the pic's but ONE LAST ? i swear ! Should i go 245/40? or 245/35? the 245/40 i liked on yours because if you didnt put new lowering springs in it filled up the fender gap well. Let me know, thanks!

Re: Final Decision For New Tires For 19's Please Help!

you can ask as many questions as you want. When I was contemplating new wheels and tires back in 02, I didn't know g35driver and FA existed. I got lucky with my choices.

I think it depends on what you're looking for. the 35's will give you a little better performance in terms of acceleration (smaller circumference) handling (less sidewall flex and better transient response) and weight (rotational mass).

In terms of quietness and comfort and safety, you should go with the 40's. If you live where the roads are not that great, go with the 40's. I was very happy with the S03 in the 40 series but we have pretty decent roads here in Oregon.

Let me know if you have any other ?'s
Al

I would definitely do the 245/40/19. They are much closer to stock specs so you don't throw off your speedo. 245/40/19= 26.71, 245/35/19= 25.75. Stock=26.5 diameter.

Re: Final Decision For New Tires For 19's Please Help!

Thanks guys for the help. So I think I will be going with the 40's then because of the fender gap fill and also closer to stock spec;s. In your pictures al, how long did you have those tires for?? Because they hardly look any bigger from the 35's unless you wore them down. Thanks, Martin. Also I jsut saw someone selling 4 tires in the Parts/Accessories, 245/40-19 front but 275/40 back 19's. 275 is gonna be way to big for the back rite?? Thanks again

Would the 40 look good on this rim? Or too much tire

Re: Final Decision For New Tires For 19's Please Help!

275's will work in the back. You'll probably want to put them on 9.5" wheels though. Also, you'll lose the ability to rotate which helps wear considerably.

The tires had about ~35% left on them. The 35 series are very thin.

Plus you can't put 275's on an 8.5" rim per manufacturers specs. Plus you wouldn't want a 275/40/19, you would want a 275/35/19 which is the perfect size.
