I haven't seen anybody with them yet but you may be the first. What will they run you?

Motegi's are HEAVY rims, but are great if you're on a budget....

Yes...they are great if you are on a budget, but in my opinion they will look bad because manily they are made for FWD cars. They will be sunk into the fender considering the stock rims are 30mm offset and these are 45...the mr7's are probably only 7.5 or 8" wide. They will be sunk more than stock.

Its better to wait on rims till you have enough money for some good ones, rather than buying cheaper rims that are the wrong size/offset.

It might be better for him to get what he likes and worry about the rest later.

Re: 18" Motegi MR7 rims

Thanks for the input. I tried my buddies 18" rims on my car with a 38mm offset and they sat perfectly flush with the fender so i know what you are saying about the 45mm offset. I do work for a machine shop so getting some spacers made up to push the motegi's out isn't a problem.

Thanks again

Re: 18" Motegi MR7 rims

the mr-7's are great looking wheels. But they have quality issues.

My friend has a gunmetal set on his 3000gt, and he bent up 2 wheels (due to the quality of the alloy) within a month of buying the wheels and he takes super care of his car. Plus they scratch real easy. But they look great from far away.

But if i may recommend the Konig Tantrum in chrome or silver. I think these wheels are discontinued, but i believe alot of wheel shops have these in stock. Konig is a better quality wheel than motegi by far. The tantrums should cost around the same as the mr-7's.

pz... good choice on style of rim btw...
