thinking about getting these in 235/50/17. Just wanted to get some feedback. they look good on paper!

 

Tire is decent, people say its pretty comparable to the yoko ES100.

 

I just purchased a set in 20 inch staggard I haven't mounted them yet but I've heard good review of them and they are pretty affordable.

 

I have my eyes set on purchasing that same size of S-Drive for my G Sedan. I should be ordering these early next week from Tirerack since my EL42 are shot. Tirerack lists that size as the optional 17" and at $128 each they are a bargin.

For me it came down to the Firestone Fire Hawk Wide Oval or the Yokohama S-Drive. Since the thread width of the S-Drive were larger (8.4" v 7.6") I decided on them. The Turanza EL42 thread width in the 55 series are 6.9", so I decided to go plus one wider like I beleive you are leaning.

Any tire/wheel gurus have a comment about this tire size on 05" factory 17X7wheels?

 

a 235/50/17 is the biggest you can fit on the factory 17x7 sedan wheels and it will work safely
