Tire Recommendations

Hey everyone...I just purchased a set of Boss 318 Black Chrome wheels for my X and was wondering if you guys could help me out with choosing some suitable tires

They will only be on in the spring/summer so I'm really only looking at performance tires.

The wheels are 20 x 8.5 with a 35mm offset. I'm looking for pretty wide tires but I want to keep the price below $225.00 a piece. Also, is any fender rolling necessary?

Thanks,
Justin

There are lots of great performance tires out there, check out www.tirerack.com. I use Goodyear Eagle F1 GS/D3s on my stock rims... they're a bit pricey but really an awesome tire.

Also check out the new (this year) Goodyear Eagle F1 All Seasons. I have a set on my X and they are fantastic (stiff sidewalls, very responsive, ok in the winter)

Yea, I've been spending a lot of time on TireRack as of late.

Here are the two different sizes that I have been looking (275 &265):

http://www.tirerack.com/tires/Compar...0&startIndex=0

I'm really not sure which to choose. Anyone have any experience with these tires?

Edit: NM, it doesn't let me link to search results. Well I was looking at 275/35/20 and 365" ".

I love Falkens; very quiet, awesome tread wear, and they are a bit more rounded than other tires out there so u shouldnt have to roll. Prices are usually really good too.

Here are the ones that they had in 275/35/20 that are in my price range (in order of price...lowest first):

Yokohama S.drive
Sumitomo HTR Z III
Firestone Firehawk Wide Oval
Kumho Ecsta SPT

265/35/20:
BFGoodrich g-Force T/A KDW 2

I dont belive you are going to be able to run a 275 on an X. Just becasue you cant run staggered on it so you will have to go with a 245 or 255 but 255 may be pushing it. Plus a 275 on a 8.5 rim will be pushing it.

Really :/

Yea, I've ruled out the 275. Is there any way I could get the 265 to fit?

i got them currently, good traction wet and dry, but the road noise. i've had them for well over a year (2 sets) but the noise they produce is really starting to get to me already.

I think I'm going to get these.

The only real complaint I've heard so far is the noise which I think I can live with.

But I just want to make sure they will fit on the X.
