holy hell... I should get a pair for the far, far future when my front tires need replacement... but then again if things go as planned, I'll have rims well before then

Wow, I need new summers this spring anyways.
How do they compare to the stock 18" RE 050's. The ones I'm looking at are the RE 960's or the Goodyear F1 A/S.

I would be using them for street use only, no track or autocrossing at all. Only in the summer as well, no snow as I have winter rims/tires.
What I'm looking for is a quiet tire, with good traction in dry and wet, decent cornering and good tread wear. Would these fit the bill?
Thanks!

Also noticed they only have the right sizing for the fronts, as 245 is needed in the rears...

You're better off sticking with the RE960's. The S0-3 is an ultra high performance summer tire and will only last about 15,000 miles.

^^ Thanks, you think the RE 960's are better than the F1 A/s for me? from the test results on tirerack, they gave the edge to the F1's. Reading a few reviews as well give the F1's the slight edge.

I'm a Bridgestone ***** either way, every tire i've had has been a bridgestone and the RE960's are no let down. I had them on my 20's and even did a canyon run with them and they never let go of the road!
