What rim/tire/offset combo to get??

Im fairly certain I understand about matching offsets with tires. But given the prices of rims and tires I want to be 150% sure so I need a hand.

I have an 04 sedan with coupe shocks/struts lowered on 350z H-techs. I also have 25mm and 20mm spacers laying around I could use. The wheels Im looking at are;

20"x8.5" w/ 245/35/R20 tires. They are available either + 20 and + 40 offset.

What would fit the best? I'd like to avoid rubbing issues and I'd like a flush mount or maybe even sticking out a little bit.

Thanks

+40, +20 will not work on a sedan without some major camber and a fender roll

the +40 will be just fine, the fronts should look good while the rear may look just a little tucked in. put them on and see if you like them. since you don't seem to have a problem using spacers, for the rear you may want to try a 3-5 mm spacer to make it more flush.

How bout a 20mm spacer since I laready have one laying around?

ALso, what if I went with 18" rims, would i also use +40 offset instead of +20?

You want to stay in that +40 range for sedan wheels, if you use that spacer, that's going to be too much, if you go with 18s they will probably be 8.5 or so. The offset range should be +40 to +45. The pic below are +42 all around.

So what offset wheel would I use so i can use my 20 and 25 mm spacers?

There is absolutely NO reason to be using those size spacers on a sedan, you might as well sell them as they are of no use to you.

Unless you want to get a 225/35/20 tire for the front and put the 20mm spacer on the 20x8.5 +40 front which would give you an effective offset of +20

In order for it to clear and look good the car would have to be dropped around 2" so your camber would be a little over -2.0

Optimal offsets for a sedan are 8.5" +30-40 and if you're going staggered then the rear is 9.5" +40-50
