if you do 245/30F and 265/30R it will work but it'll look retartedly small unless your car is slammed or atleast with a 0 finger gap. What about a 255/35 on the rear?

Why are you so stuck on the 265/30?

LOL Glad you asked. They have BFG KDW's on sale for $280 shipped on Ebay. I've had these tires before and they are amazing. For this price, i'm trying to get something to work. Looks like a 245/35 and 235/35 both violate the 3% rule although the 235/35 is really close and might work. 225/35 works fine but that seems kinda small up front. 245/30 sound good.
What actually happens if you put the "wrong" size on? Does the car cut throttle and act up? Do you only have to worry about sizing correctly if you have a VDC car?

The car detects one wheel spinning faster than the other, but it doesnt know that you're not losing control, it just thinks you are about to lose control so it activates the rear brakes on whatever side it feels necessary.

I'm sorry, which part of the tires are WAY too short did you not understand?

I'm running 245/35 and 265/35 on my OEM 19s... I went with the 265/35 because for whatever reason, the Falken 452's were cheaper that that time at America's Tire locally.... There really is no tire bulge or anything with the 265 on the OEM 8.5" rim. Personally I like it because it offers some better protection against curb rash.....

And yes, there are lots of people that have put the 275 on the stock rims as well.... but that's pushing it.

what about 255/35 and 235/35? Would they work? Price difference is huge.

It will work fine, but it's still shorter than stock. Your speedo will be off by a little but it wont mess with the VDC at all.

That's what i thought. About a -3mph speedo difference but they seem equally matched in height at about .4" lower than stock. I was more worried about rim width on the stock 19's.

Not really worried about vdc. That **** gets turned off the minute i get in the car. Very little rain here and never ice or snow. If there was a way to reprogram it to be off by default I would be all over that.

Those width's will be fine with oem 19's.
check out KPTecnologies.com their "traction control memory module" makes it so you dont have to turn off VDC every time you get in the car.

Thanks for the info. $40 for the module makes the price right and install looks to be well within my comfort zone

the tire calculator can say all it wants, it doesnt tell if you if the width of the tire is correct for the width of the wheel. Check out the manufacturer specs on the tires you got and tell me what the recommended wheel width is...
