OEM 19" with 265/30/19 Tires

Can anyone tell me if I can run a 245/35/19 tire in the front and 265/30/19 on the rear? I bought the wheels for my 03' Coupe and want to get some wider tires before I put them on. Would 235/35/19 and 265/30/19 be a better combo?
Also, will this throw off the VDC? I believe the car came with 17's from the factory. Thanks guys.

265/30/19 is WAY to short. If anything you should use 265/35/19 although that is too wide for an 8.5" wheel according the manufactures specs. I would go 245/35/19 and 255/40/19

Why? If I use a 245/35 front and the 265/30 front, the front/rear bias is nearly the same as stock albeit the speedometer will be off a bit because the new combo has smaller overall diameter. The 3% rule isn't violated though and I thought that is whats important. TELL ME SOMEBODY! Thanks.

Go read up on aspect ratio and then come back

the 30 series is too small. You'd need atleast a 35 series tire in the rear. And whoever told you 265 is suitable for an 8.5" wide wheel (according to tire manufacturer's specifications) is wrong.

I'm already aware that the aspect ratio is the ratio of sidewall height to tire width. How does that apply here? I wish you could have given me an explanation. Oh well.

There are several threads on here where the max width on OEM 19's has been discussed and it seemed like most agreed that a 265 would work on the rear but a 275 would not even though several members had the 245/275 set-up with no problems.

265 on the 8" front is too wide for that rim.

Just because you can put it on doesnt mean you should. I could mount a 295 on an 8.5" wheel and still drive on it, doesnt mean it would be safe.

Do a little research..

the stock 245/40/19 tire is 26.72" in diameter and a 265/30 is 25.26", you're taking away 1.46" in diameter and it could likely mess with your VDC. especially if you put a 245/35 up front which is 25.75" in diameter (0.49" greater than the 265/30 you want on the rear)

So you want a smaller tire on the rear than on the front? I fail to see where that makes any sense what so ever.

As stated by redlude, if you want wider tires on your OEM 19's, the best size combo would be a 245/35 front and 255/40 rear.

No, I know that. I'm talking about running 245/35(8") and 265/30(8.5") combo. This is almost the same bias as stock only shorter. I can live with the speedo being off.

expect for the fact that what you want to put on makes the rear tire a half inch smaller in diamter than the front. The stock setup has it the other way around bud

Yeah, my fault. I was thinking that the front factory was 225/45 but I see that its 225/40. Does that .5" make a difference in VDC. I still don't think it violates the 3% rule even though its .5" in the other direction. What combo will work with 265/30? I appreciate your help on the subject.

If were talking about the same OEM 19" wheels manufactured by Rays with the Bridgestone RE050a tires on them that came with all 05-07 sport coupes, then the tire sizes are 225/40 front and 245/40 rear.
