funny how people ask questions and ask for help, then debate the answers they get from very knowledgeable people!

Something that seemed to be overlooked through the thread (and was asked about once) is that the series (30 in this instance) is the percentage of the width... so 30% of 265mm is not the same as 35% of 245mm… it’s nearly ¼” diff… and of course the overall diameter is off.

Gdupsedan and redlude97 offered very good advice. IMO it should have been given more consideration.

I'm running 235/35 and 255/35 on oem 19" wheels and I really like them. They're cheaper than the OEM setup and I think it looks a little bit better because of the slightly shorter profile.

Another informative post. In case you didn't notice, I got the info I was after. I wasn't debating anything either. I asked a question, got an answer, and went from there. I really wanted to understand WHY it wouldn't work and WHY proper biasing is important. Gdupsedan was very helpful and I actually learned something here. THANKS Gdupsedan!
Also, Redlude only said that the tire was shorter and was just arrogant in the process. But, yeah that was helpful. Kudos to you for describing the aspect ratio which was already addressed. I'm not trying to be rude but I don't think you had to post here.

40 would be optimal in the rear, but would look like a truck tire in the rear especially with an oversized tire/undersized rim.

I am running a 35/30 FR setup on aftermarket wheels, and my VDC went off the first mile I drove it. But, the car ran normally and after that initial alarm, the VDC has not gone off since. I am only running 30 in the rear because they don't make a 35 in 295 or 305 widths in the tires I like.

30 series in the rear is the correct aspect ratio for a 305 width on a 19" wheel
