everyone needs nice wheels. its like a nice watch or shoes that compliments a really expensive suit. you dont wear payless with a prada suit on.

You get what you pay for. You buy cast wheels like Axis, RPM, etc you get a cheaper made cast wheel with very little strgnth and a heavy weight. You buy a Work, Volk, or any premium brand you pay more, but get a nicer quality wheel that will last you longer. So here is the question you ask yourself:
Am i willing to pay more for a wheel that is better made, better quality, longer lasting, and pricier....or do i want to spend a couple thousand less and get an inferior wheel, maybe have damage due to a pothole, and have a wheel thats maybe double the weight.
All in all, its what you pay for is what you get and different people have different priorities.

from my personal experience, never again would i buy replica or cheap wheels or whatever you guys call it....it wasnt worth it and it never will be...before i had the G, i was driving an e90 325i and slapped on moven rg5 wheels (hamann pg2 replica)...heavy, didnt look as nice as the real deal and had to be really careful with these wheels especially around potholes....oh the color didnt look nice and the machined lips looked worse than my table spoon...
i changed wheels 2 more times after that....went with OEM and then a set of custom-made wheels...
which was why i made sure to save enough money for a set of Volks after i got the G...
just my opinion...hope this helps

nothing peeled off. the actual wheel cracked into dozens of pieces..

RPM 505's are pretty sweet looking and with tires will put you right past $2000 brand new, the Axis Pentas are $2500 with tires....... I must be missing the point here, but I don't think those prices equate to "CHEAP WHEELS"
I think what most of you guys do is simply compare the quality of the wheel to the usual suspects like Volk or Work and obviously none of these other manufacturers have the quality of Volk/Work, so you guys automatically label them "CHEAP". Do you guys really think that Volk wheels that cost $3000 here in the US cost that same amount over in Japan ? over there they probably cost the same price as a set of RPM wheels here...
Seriously you guys come off like big ballers when you call a $2500 set of wheels "CHEAP".... if you were ballers though, wouldn't you be driving $100k + cars where wheels must be at least 5k to be worthy enough to be on the ride.

Maybe the 5Zigen Sport Engine SC3000. It can be had in 19x8.5/19x9.5 +25 all around. Add some spacers and they'll look great.

I was going to go with these wheels, initially, but I saw the VSXX and fell in love. But these are nice too, I believe they are Racing Heart RS-451. I originally wanted the C4, but the C4 was discountinued.

This debate has been going on forever, cheap wheels versus name brand Japan made wheels. Bottom line its your car if you see a set of wheels that looks awesome on your ride even if they are heavy score it. For example you see a set of ADR or HP lightning wheels that look awesome on your INFINITI score it cuz its your car. Sure they may be heavier than stock oem forged rays but its not like everyone is gonna go to the track or go to the 1/4 strip.
We all learn by our mistakes, if we get "cheap" wheels and a year down the road they slowly start to crack for no apparent reason, then its time to say, "Hey! Those guys at the forums were right, wheels that are lower priced and affordable are cheap quality wheels, hell im getting volks!".
There are always good and bad things about buying expensive quality rims, the good is that they are excellent quality and will last awhile. The bad they are expensive and if one rim accidently breaks, you might have to wait awhile for the U.S. stores to ship it from Japan.
For "cheap" rims like ADR, HP, Tenzos, Axis, TSW, and so on. The good is that they are affordable and look similar to high priced wheels. The bad is the quality is unsure, we dont know the exact time the rims can last, another thing is some of these "cheaper" companys dont want to honor or offer warrenty to the end consumer.
That being said, its your car, your choice, your money, your life, slap on some bad *** rims and drive!
