need help, VDC acting up

so driving home one day i took an exit ramp a lil too fast and vdc kicked in, no biggie. but since then, it started goin off more and more even on turns that i am definitely not sliding on. its gotten to the point where even going slow it kicks in, which now i consider a little dangerous since if someone is behind me and it suddenly brakes my car on a turn, not good. funny though, its only when im not in gear and riding the turn out. if i gas it through the turn and accelerate, it doesn't go off.

what do you guys think it is? any help is appreciated.

i DID though just get new rear tires, and they are standard size 245/45/18. but this never happened with having the tires for a week. only after that first incident. i sort of dont want to turn vdc off all the time, it has saved me a few times so i like it a little. i hope its not a differential problem. thanks ahead of time.

What kind of tires are they? When I got new rears and they weren't of the caliber the car demands, the VDC was pretty unhappy with me until I remedied the situation.

Check your tires, and also check your lugnuts.

the rears actually grip a lot better than the ones i replaced it with, so i'd say an even higher caliber. i didn't change the size though, kept it the standard 245/45/18. I guess it is though a tire thing, just sort of glad its not a differential issue.

I'll try new tires in the front.

my G35 w/17's has been doing the same thing since i replaced the rear tires with tires I think are better than stock not worse.

it is supposed to be a fairly common issue when you replace only the rear tires, which wear more quickly so it comes up quite a bit. there doesn't seem to be a lot you can do short of turning VDC off or replace the front tires w/ the same brand.

Check your brake fluid levels everyone.

VDC is a braking system, although posing as a "limited slip" system. I've seen it so many times that a low brake fluid level + corning = sloshing in the reservoir, and if the system thinks the fluid is low leading to non-function, it'll flash the VDC light, and then that plus the SLIP lights will both stay on until you shut the car down.

I have a 245 40 18 and 275 40 18 setup and have never had any VDC problems.

Anywais. . .hope this helps!

Mine did that exact same thing right after I got new tires. The tires were different than OEM sizes, but still in the same ratios and such. It stopped after a few times and never happened again.

I think the VDC has to readjust or something.

This has been happening to me all last week to now. My VDC, RAS, SLIP, and BRAKE light all turned on every time I drove after a while. I checked the brake fluid and it was low. Also an indication if you need new brakes. Winded up doing a brake flush and changing all my brakes after a year or so.

Still have stock set up if that helps anyone. So like what Drewer said, check your brake reservoir! Brake fluid being at minimum does make a difference.
