Exclamation Need NEW tires ASAP!

I finally hit 20,000 miles on my original Bridgestone Potenza's and am ready for new tires. I'm interested in upgrading the size on my tires to something like 255 or 265 on the rear and 245 on the front. I have NO clue as to what to run with my OEM 19's. They are 19x8 in the front and 19x8.5 in the rear. I'm pretty much down to Michelin Pilots All Season.

Just wanted to get all of your opinions on what setup you're running or what you think would be the BEST setup for me!

Also: I am lowered on Tein-S techs (about 1 inch all around) so please take that into consideration when posting your reply.

Please HELP!!!

https://g35driver.com/forums/wheels-tires/52439-where-find-rims-tires.html plenty of sources on those links and you can run 235/40/19 and 265/35/19 on those size rims easy.

I was thinking of going with the Falken FK-452's??

Front: 245/40ZR19
Rear: 255/40ZR19 (couldn't find 265/40ZR19)

What do you think?? Would that be a good setup??

Smile

Or how about:

Front: 245/35ZR19
Rear: 265/35/ZR19

I DO NOT want any issues with rubbing etc. I'm also lowered on Tein S-techs and DO NOT have an alignment kit installed nor spacers.

Thanks

a lot of people have the FK-452s, quiet tire, great for daily driver and not too bad on the wallet. the 245/40 265/35 combo will be fine. use this tire/size calculator, plug in your current numbers and what you want to go to for front and rear. this will give you a visual help, as long as you maintain the overall diameter which is important so you don't start to throw off your VDC. http://www.discounttiredirect.com/di...foTireMath.jsp

I run 235/35 and 255/35 on stock 19s. It's very subtle but I think it looks better and you can have these sizes for much cheaper and have many more choices. I just looked on tirerack.com and found you can get Goodyear Eagle F1 all season for $172 fronts and $213 rears. Wear rating of 420 so they should last a lot longer than the potenzas. Not a bad choice if this is going to be your daily driver through all seasons.

Thumbs up

Thanks for your help guys!

I decided to go with:

245/35/ZR19 (front)
265/35/ZR19 (rear)

Just trying to decide the brand now?? Michelin's are pretty expensive, and I'm concerned about running 2 different brand tires to save money!

So I'm caught in somewhat of a dilemma:

Seems as though the ONLY company that makes the set of tires that I'm looking for (i.e. 245/35/19 and 265/35/19) are made by Michelin which will be $$$ coming out to $1400 to $1600!!

UNLESS I go with Michelin's for the rear and Falken's for the front???

Have any of you done that?? Or should I just go with Falken's all around (245/35/19 and 255/40/19) for almost half the cost of the Michelin's?? Just a reminder I have the OEM 19's (19x8 front and 19x8.5 rear).

Please help.....NEED TO ORDER TIRES ASAP!!!!

that is very odd that your only choice for rears will be michelins, how about trying 235/40 255/40?

So you didn't like the idea of 235/35 and 255/35? I promise you, there's a bunch more choices for that size tire combo and you keep the relative size from front to back the exact same as factory. Also, a lot of ppl will argue that 255 is about as wide as you want to go on a 8.5 wheel when you go with a profile like 40 or 35.
