If you really have your heart set on this deal I'd advise you to get a wheels only quote, then a wheels with tires quote. Then, tell them what you can get just tires for, and tell them if they can match the price of just wheels + the price you could get tires from somewhere else, you'd save yourself the trouble of two different transactions.

If the price were more like $1500, I'd say go for it. For $2,645 though, you should really save a few hundred more bucks and get a better set of wheels. I was quoted $33XX for a set of brand new 19x9.5 / 19x10.5 Volk GT-S in Ti Gunmetal with tires a few months ago on the forum. Just FYI.

Haha I didn't get Volks I went the cheap rim route instead. I decided to put the money saved on not buying Volks towards a daily driver which I'm buying soon.

It was either pay for Volks and have to daily drive my car (read: not being able to maintain the wheels well while in school/busy with exams and what-not) OR Buy cheaper rims and get a daily driver which will pay for itself before too long AND allow me to keep my car in excellent condition.

And you've got a PM regarding the Volks.

T1R vs FK452? I heard good things about both - If it were me I'd pick T1R's just because I personally know people who have had them and really like them.

If your gonna pay over 2 grand for some crappy rims and tires, go to the marketplace on here and get a quality brand of wheels for the same price or cheaper.

You could almost get a set of used, good condition Volk/SSR/Work wheels for that price. Easy decision.

I picked up my Volk Challenges with new tires for $2400 from a member, one wheel had alittle rash, but that was more than made up for in the pricing. When you do get some nice wheels, check out the detailing forum and invest in a nice wheel wax to protect those lips, refinishiing can be really expensive.
