Anyone in here running the S-Tech springs on your car? If so, please respond. I'm having a wierd feeling at highway spends and I'm like to find out if anyone else is getting this.

Re: Tein S-Tech

I've had the springs on for about 3 months now. I guess about a month ago or so, I started noticing this harsh feeling. Sort of like I can feel every little thing the road. I am used to bumps and potholes being harsher on these springs, but this is a different feeling. I feel it in my feet on the floorboard the most, not so much in the steering wheel. Even when I see no bumps or cracks in the road, I continue to feel the bumping/grainy feeling randomly. It feels very grainy and almost like a loose feeling, hard to describe. I haven't had an alignment or a rebalance since the springs were installed, so I'm hoping that cures it. Any thoughts?

Re: Tein S-Tech

You have to understand that if you lower any car the ride will be or get harsh. Couple that with a low profile tire you can fell every single bump, pebble and crack on the road. Now that I have some aftermarket sway on it feels more prominent. What kind of wheels do you have 17" or 18"?

No the wheel alignment is not going to make it go away, but it's recomemded that you get one. In anycase, I am still waiting for a good aftermarket shock absorber like Koni to come out with a product for the G. The Tein is a good set of springs, but it does need help. Shocks would be my next step in the suspension setup I'm hoping that would cure the harshness.

For now we have to live with the harsh ride until we can zero in on the perfect setup........if there is such a thing...LOL!

Re: Tein S-Tech

I understand your points. I guess what confuses me is I don't remember feeling the road so much after the S-Techs were installed until just recently. Perhaps it's something to do with my tires wearing and causing increasing road noise/feedback.

I'm running the stock Pilot Sports on the 18" wheels. I may move to a quiter performance based tire when the stocks wear out, like the Yokohama AVS DB S2's.

Re: Tein S-Tech

That is true tire ware maybe also a factor in that harshness. Right now if you look at the rear of the car you can see a negative camber. Unfortunately, only a handful of companies are selling aftermarket camber kits like Stillen, etc. These kits are terribly expensive for such a small part to put in your car. Another thing about this camber kits is that it is only made for the rear nothing for the fronts yet. So premature tire ware is also a factor in this harsh ride. You say you have the 18" then that tire will ware out faster.
