Need tires!

Alright guys, 20K on my car and time for tires. I DO NOT WANT TO BUY TIRES FROM INFINITI! Here is what I want. I decided, I'm keeping the stock 18's, why? because they look good! Anyway, I want new tires. I want tires for PERFORMANCE and WEAR TIME. Maybe an average wear time with a super grip. Does anyone know the best tire setup? They don't have to be low profile, I just want them to be able to fit the stock 18's and have great performance. I was thinking maybe different treds for the front and rear for drag and drifting? Anyone have any ideas? Any information could be great!

Thanks - Joey Avino

Re: Need tires!

TireRack.com is a good place to start your research. They don't carry all brands, though.

Re: Need tires!

Look at the BfGoodrich KW2's they look great, they are cheap and have excellent grip rating at tire rack. The only thing is that you would have to get 40 series cause they dont make 45's like our cars come stock but thats ok.

Re: Need tires!

I want close to the stock tires or larger. If they are better than the stock grip that's okay.

Re: Need tires!

Now tirerack says that the origional tire sizes are 225/45-18 for the front and 245/45-18. I don't see the Goodyear Eagle's in 225/45-18 so can I just go with 245/45-18 all around or are there other sizes I should get?

Thanks - Joey Avino

Re: Need tires!

Okay, someone tell me what sizes I should order in the Goodyear tires.

http://www.tirerack.com/tires/Sizes....Eagle+F1+GS-D3

The best possible performance.

I found these optional tire sizes, are they better or should I go with the stock sizes?
Front Optional 18" 245/40-18
Rear Optional 18" 265/40-18

Can I do 245/40YR18 all around in the goodyear! Someone check the link and help me out before my head explodes!

Note that I plan on getting a TEIN suspension system on my car, I don't think I will have an issue.

Thanks - Joey Avino

245/40/18 will give you approx. 1% smaller diameter than stock in the fronts and approx. 3.8% smaller diameter in the rears. You want to stay within +-2%. of stock diameter, so go with wider tires for the rear. 265/40/18 will give you approx. 1.3% smaller diameter.

Re: Need tires!

I'm getting them in August when I get my suspension and rotors. If you know anything about rotors see my post below.
