I don't think we (G owners) have that problem as much, we wear them out too fast....
But you should check all your cars anyway!

that Dan guy is a living liar.
of course there's a expiration on the tires. Rubber/Silicia compound harden as attack by UV ray, and moisture. Lets see what he would think if his precious family member get hurt from expired tires.
I check my everytime when I get new rubbers (I go thru them very fast from trackdays), there's stamp on there to tell you the manufacturing date of that tire
