Does putting wider wheels affect camber?
I recently put some Iforged Flux rims on my G35 Coupe. Fronts are 18 inch with an 8 inch width and an offset of 18mm. Rears are 18 inch with a 10 inch width and an offset of 30 mm. I noticed that the outer edge of the rear tires was not making contact with the ground ( negative camber ). The front tires displayed this characteristic as well but to a lesser extent. The stock rims were the 18 inchers and the suspension is stock. Has anyone with upgraded wider wheels noticed this on your Z or G35 Coupe? Does putting wider wheels on your car effect camber? Is a wheel alignment necessary when replacing wheels? I will be installing Hotchkis Swaybars shortly. Will an alignment be necessary with upgraded swaybars? Thanks in advance for your input...
Re: Does putting wider wheels affect camber?
This is the first I've heard of wider rims affecting the camber of a vehicle. The only thing I can speculate is that the extra weight of the wheels may have something to do with it, but it seems very unlikely to me.
Can you post some pics for us?

Re: Does putting wider wheels affect camber?
no wheels do not affect camber. You're probably noticing the camber more do to the thicker rubber, the coupe comes with aggressive camber specs and may be out of wack from the factory. I would get an alignment just to be safe, you don't want to wear out those new tires.
