Front End Vibration?

I have just put new rims and tires on my G35 sedan, and now I get this weird vibration once I hit above 60. Has anyone else had this issue and know a fix?

Is this a balance problem?

No, I don't think so we re-balanced the wheels already. I just did some research and a few posts say I might need hubcentric rings?? But what size and where can I get them?

yes hubcentric rings are exactly it..I had this same problem this week..theres a website I think justforwheels.com or look for a local tire/wheel shop..they should carry them or be able to order em.

Re: Front End Vibration?

When you rebalanced your tires did the shop use a Hunter balancer? They are the best. I had asimilar problem had the Pilots balanced 3 times with no solution and yes I did have the hubcentric rings(they are not the end all be all solution). I went to a shop that had a Hunter and came away with a fixed car. You really should verify if a Hunter was used. You still have to pay for the rebalance though..

Re: Front End Vibration?

I just had the same problem with mine last week. I put 19" rims and tires on my sedan. Once i got above 60 the whole front end was shaking. I took it back later on that day and they re-balanced the wheels and they are now fine. I've had it to 110 a few times and no shake other than the normal stick moving up and down (6MT). The store did mention to me that all my tires check out of the norm on the balancing machine, all read too high, but ir rides just fine now, go figure. As far as the "hubcentric" statement, it's a small ring that mounts on the inside part of the rim and wheel hub, that will help it from further shaking at high speeds. I believe the measurement for the sedan was 61.2mm if I remember right. You can always ask that at the balancing shop.

Re: Front End Vibration?

Thanx for all the good info. I have contacted the guys who sold me the Rim/tire package and they are putting the Hubcentrics on today and re-balancing them for free. So I hope this will resolve my dilema. I can't stand not driving above 60!!!
You guys are great! once again, thanx

If the rings don't work, you might need the whole hub ring adapter. There is a place called MC Motorsports that builds the adapters. I think they have a website but I'm not sure what it is.
