Tire rumble?? What do you all think???

I am experiencing a lot of noise from my front end recently that sounds like the tires. The tires are about 2 years old but the tread is solid since I have only 11k on them.

Is it possible for the tires to age and make noise while the tread is still good? For what it is worth I live in a warm climate (Charlotte NC). Thanks for your input - I appreciate it!!

How old are the tires? Should be a 4 digit number on the tire that tells the age (if it a 3 digit number get rid of NOW!).

I only wish I could get 11k on a set of tires lol... 8 or 9k is about all I can squeeze out of ZR's.

If tread is good, the tire isn't degraded (turning brown and cracking, ect)... try getting it rebalanced and verify the alignment. Also, it's possible your rotor(s) are warped.

Also, performance tire's ride performance typically degrade horribly over life. They're awesome new, crap when they're about done.

To the OP's original question, yes you can get plenty of road noise from tires even though the tire has significant tread life left.

Usually when the front tires hit around 7-8000 miles, depending upon the tread design, they start to get noisey on the fronts. The inside fethering is usually the cause and there is not much you can do about it. The noise will get louder over time. My friend had the Pilots and the noise was so loud after 12,000 miles it was almost deafening. Coupes and tires issues go hand in hand. The best thing to do in the future is research a tire that might make the least noise for you. I went back to the RSAs on my Coupe with 17s and after 6,000 miles they are still quiet. I'm crossing my fingers.
