Brembo PROBLEMS
What up...My 04 g35 coupe with 6mt, has brembos that squeak. Is this normal? SHould i go and take it in? It does this sometimes, but mostly when i take turns fast. ANy help would be appreciated...Thanks...

Mine made a noise like that when they were new. It eventually went away.

Mine squeak when coming to a stop and only when it's very humid outside like on a rainy day.

Jeeez, how can this topic continue to come up? We've discussed this like 100,000 times and I always give the same correct advice every single time. The squeaking is normal, it sort of like....comes with performance brakes. It's perfectly natural and is caused by brake dust on the rotors rubbing against the brake pads that to create the ugly squeaking.
You can resolve the issue two ways:
1.) Drive 30-40mph and just slam on your brakes as hard as you can. Do this a couple of times and make sure nobody is behind you.
2.) Wash your rotors! Spray some acid-free wheel cleaner (such as from TurtleWax) or use a light pressure wash gun and just wash the rotors and then go for a drive and some regular braking will clear it up.
But, as it is easy to get rid of the squeaking, it is easy for the squeaking to come back (and it WILL come back). The best advice is to just wash your car regularly and you pretty much won't have to deal with it. =)

lol, yea this topic comes up A LOT...
a basic search through the forums should help you out.
but pretty much just try what mrelussive says. it worked for me.

Yeah, I wasn't trying to be mean. I'm just tired of posting the same thing over and over again, lol. Just search for it and you can see how many times this topic has come up and how many times I've responded lol. Or maybe when this topic comes up again, I should just search and copy & paste what I said the last time somebody asked....=)

i'm sure you've read other posts where people were hostile.
you're not that so its all good. i did a search for when my brembros started to squeak and i found mrelussive's replies here and there. i found the 'hard braking' a better solution than having to bother taking it into the dealer to get it checked out and etc. good info mrE [img]/w3timages/icons/smile.gif[/img]
