Question Go with 215/55/17 or 225/50/17 General Exclaim UHP??

So I am buying a new set of General Exclaim UHP's for my 03 sedan and wanted some feedback on what size to go with. They are the same price and pretty much the same diameter but I was thinking it might be better to go with a little wider tire for the summer.

Any thoughts/recommendations?

Wider!!!
Wider is always better. If i was running 17's i would go with a 240/245 /55/17 in rear and 235/240 /50 in the front. Although, i am not sure how wide the stock 17's are. If there 8 1/2 in the back, do a 255/50 rear 245/45 front.

IDK. whatever. just go wider.

Thanks for the input...I was planning on going wider just wanted to get peoples thoughts!

I think the widest you can put on an 03 stock 17" is 235 but the 235's are more expensive then the 225 so I will probably go with the 225's. I think the front ar 17x7.5 and the rears are 17x8 but that maybe the sport package...I have the non-sport package so they may all be 17x7.5.
