Bent Rim Repair: Heat vs. Non-Heat Method

So I have two places that does rim repair. I bent my front right rim (mostly on the lip) and it needs to be bent back into shape. I have two options. One places uses heat and one doesn't.

Rim and Wheel Works

This place uses heat to bend it back and says that, "although several different techniques now exist for straightening alloy rims, our proprietary process is superior in several ways; methods that do not use heat, such as "cold roller" technology, typically leave the affected area weaker than before, while our technology has a metallurgical effect on the alloy that is similar to forging steel, strengthening the affected area slightly."

Rim Pro Inc.

This place uses the non-heat method and they say, "Our machines are designed to remove the dent, ding, or bend without the use of heat that can compromise the temper or composition of the alloy. !"

Does anyone have an opinion on either one? Pros...Cons...

Thanks!

WIL

the heated way seems like it would make sense to me, that would make sense to me that it would not stress the metal

Just got it done...rim looks much better but the lip was rashed from this process and it doesn't feel right when driving...this could be because they didn't get the tire pressure correct. I will check the tire pressure this weekend. Overall it looks good...I just hope it feels better once I check the tire pressure.
