anyone got any feedback on the quality of MSR wheels? some of the designs look aite.

 

Think their ok, not quality of Work of Volk, but really depends on your budget, for real good quality rims like Work or Volk you gonna end up spending 3000-4000,

 

they are ok. i had them on my last car (mazdaspeed 6). hold well, but DO NOT use them on snow. it left stains (road salt and dirt) on the lip.

 

Another cheapo wheel co. whose line is comprised of mostly all knockoffs. Just another Speedy/R-1/Drag/Rev/HP/etc...

 

its made by american racing. lol looks alrite though...

eh. i just cant find 19s that i like that work within my budget anymore.

 

I had them on my very first car! They looked great, also got in an accident, some lady hit me and pushed me into a curb both front wheels were damages but held up great, i was suprised!

 

i got a hook on 20s... hmmm maybe i should just get a set. they cost some really dope mesh ones..

 

I just put these in a 20" on my G...we'll see how they hold up!

 

What's the big deal with cheap wheels, other than outright snobbery?

I have a set of Kazera KZA's, 18's, on my sedan. Not the greatest looking wheel by any means, but miles ahead of stock. They were cheap. They're the same weight as my stockers, to the tenth of a pound. And they're a half-inch wider.

I recently curbed one of my wheels, the first time that has happened after owning them for 2.5yrs and driving on them, daily, for 52k miles. I don't know if I'll replace the wheel, but if I do, it will be a lot easier to replace that wheel than a wheel that costs $2000 by itself.

And the wheels have held up fine. Driving over city streets, potholes, autocrossing, drag racing, mountain runs. I just don't see the problem.

I just couldn't justify dropping more than 2 grand on wheels. Sure I love Work, Volks and Rays but a rim+tire package in those runs like 3,4 or even 5 grand. As long as they hold up, I dont see any problems either. I'd rather spend the $ saved on these wheels on other mods--say an exhaust!
