getting new rims/tires (sedan)
I plan on getting new wheels/tires within the next month and want to know if this setup would be fine. I plan on getting the 04 350z springs/struts, 18 by 8 SSR GT1 wheels that are 38mm offset. I want to use 245/45 18 Goodyear GS-D3 all around. Will this setup work successfully and how big of a handling improvement can I expect.
Thanks

Rims should work just fine with the wheel/tire combo your talking about, though I'd be a lil more comfortable with 40mm offset.
The Z suspension will improve the handling a lot.
1. Turn in performance is much better. Flick the steering wheel to make a turn and car will obey much faster and with better bite.
2.Much superior containment of weight transfer. Hit the brakes hard and you will experience better chasis control as the nose barely dives and the tail barely raises. At the limit, high speed brake application's are a lot more stable, allowing you to focus on extracting the most from the car. Same is true for weight transfer on throttle application's. Hit the gas, the the tail barely dips and the front barely raises, extreamly noticeable as you are on and off the gas for shifting.
3. Improved inside wheel traction, this allow's you to be on the car sooner as corning load's ease and more traction can be devoted to acceleration.

Re: getting new rims/tires (sedan)
I think you will be fine with the offset. I have a 32 offset on the front with 8 inch wheels, and I am fine. The rears are definitely fine. I have 255's in the rear and measured for a 38 offset and it will fit perfectly; about 1mm of clearance. ( I actually jacked up the rear wheel into the fender and measured clearance) So with 245's you will be good.

Re: getting new rims/tires (sedan)
Thanks for the replies, I should be ordering by the end of the month, and I got to find someone selling the Z suspension. Is there a big if any difference in the 03 vs 04 Z suspension? Also thegr8tg35 how bad is the wheel gap without your car being lowered.
Thanks
