would it be safe to ride on diffrent brand tires?

i have 3 Stock OEM ~Michelin Pilot sport tires, wanted to buy 1 dunlop direzza

1 michelin (front), 1 dunlop (front)
2 michelin (back)

Front 225/45/18
Back 245/45/18

what would happen????

i need one front tire..was gonna buy this

No, nothing bad will happen.... *tire on Ebay, I actually run those all around on my BMW 530i - good tire

Sandy - not so fast! Over the years I've seen many warnings against mixing different brands of tires, especially on the front. Think about it: No two brands of tires are identical in tread pattern and compound. They will not react identically to braking and steering inputs. The last thing you want is for your two front tires to not be reacting together.

Buy 2 new tires for the front if you have to or find 1 Michelin Pilot sport... make sure they have the same performance ratings as the Michelin Pilot sport

Keep watching pilot sports on ebay and you'll find what you need at just as good a deal. All four of mine are ebay rubber bought at 8/32 remaining.

 

You should always have the same size, brand and style on the front or rear. Same fronts and different rears are ok but not 3 of one and 1 of another.
