?Tein CS, Tein Flex?
Re: ?Tein CS, Tein Flex?
Tein CS shouldn't cost you $2500. Check with Jason @ Performance Nissan. I'm sure he will give you a good deal!

Re: ?Tein CS, Tein Flex?
Any updates on the comparison? Anyone had a chance to ride in a coupes with the Flex and a coupe with the CS? I am leaning towards Tein CS with a set of stiffer springs. Once I get back to Cali I will try to get in touch with Tein and see if they can sell some stiffer springs with the Tein CS. The mechanical clunking with the Flex is infamous, even a local installed warned me about it through his experience.
Re: ?Tein CS, Tein Flex?
I have been in the same quadry with my G35C. The Flexes seem too harse and the CS seems too cush. What I really want is EDFC "shocks". ie wish KONI offered an in cab controller. The OEM spring rates and height are fine for me.I just want damper control from in the cab. If Tein can offer stiffer springs with CS I would also consider that. Keep us posted as to waht you discover. BTW I recommned the 350EVO sways. They offer adequate tuneability and pretty much can be set to eliminate the understeer without adding ride harshness. Body roll is pretty much eliminated at the medium/medium setting.
Re: ?Tein CS, Tein Flex?
How about the Tein Basics but with softer springs up front? What's what I plan on getting....heard from other guys that the Basic rides nicely, even though the rates are stiffer than CS. Downside - no dampening control

The latest thing i have heard is that you can get the JDM Spec Flex's. This offers a spring rate that is in between the CS and Flexes ( i believe the rate is in the 500 range). Someone on this forum posted the exact specs...thanks for that info whoever u are!

USDM Tein Flex
672/672
Compaired to oem F+114% R+98
Transfers +16% to front
JDM Tein Flex (same as original old USDM specs)
560/560
Compaired to oem F+78% R+64%
Transfers +14% to front
Tein Basic (HKS Hypermax II use's same spring rates)
504/504
Compaired to oem F+61% R+43%
Transfers +18% to front
The dampners on the Basics cannot be adjusted, but I can't say I've ever seen or heard from a person running them that wished they were. The Flex will adjust ride height independent from messing with the springs and you can run a EDFC controller with them as well. The Basic does represent a outstanding value, providing it meets your needs.
{Their's more to say about dampning adjustability on the Flex, but I don't want to bury people with that}
