18x8 wheels

Does anybody know if 18x8 with a 30mm offset all the way around will work on a 04 Sedan? Also I;m dropped on revised z springs. Will I have rubbing issues or need to roll the fenders? Should I use a spacer?
Thanks
Josh

With the same offsets?

My 18x8's with 350Z springs BARELY clear with +40 offsets. I think they will rub without modding the fenders. Here's a pic of mine-

Yes, you will most likely rub a little. There are too many factors to say for sure. Some of it depends on tire size. I am running 18x8 with a +35mm offset. Your wheels will stick out 5mm further than mine.

I am running the Nismo suspension which is slightly lower than the Z's. My setup is about 1mm away from rubbing with a 245/45 tire (yes, it is close). I have a little more room with 245/40 tires.

Moral of the story, it all depends. If you want a little extra room, go with the 245/40. It will be close. If you go with the 245/45, I am pretty sure you will rub.

Stock Z (track), and some G Coupe, wheels are 18x8 with a +30 offset, so people are running that size wheel. Also, with the Z suspension, the rear will sit a little low. I added a small spacer to my rear spring mounts to get the F/R drop the same. Some people with the Z suspension run Coupe rear springs to get the rear a little higher. The only reason I bring this up is because I ran out of room in the rear, and decided to raise the rear slightly vs. rolling the fender. Either would have worked, but to me it made sense to even out the drop to resolve the issue....

In the pic above my post, what are the tire sizes (on the 18x8 with +40)? They look like 245/45's. As I mentioned above, there is a big difference depending on the tire size. I have run 2 sets of 245/40 and 2 sets of 245/45. They were all 4 different brands of tire, and the amount of clearance I had even between the same sizes varried greatly. I ran Falken 245/45 Falken 451's and had plenty of room, and then ran 245/45 BFG KDW2's, and rubbed. All of the 245/40's cleared with room to spare (the OP's +30 will eat up most of the room, if not all).

This is not directed only at this post, but if anyone is ever talking about "will these wheels fit," there are at least 4 critical things to look at (there are others, but these 4 always come into play):

1. Wheel Size and Offset
2. Tire sizes
3. How much drop
4. What type of alignment (more negative camber=more clearance)

If you want to know if something is going to fit, you should be prepared to provide the above infomation at a minimum.

Also to answer one of the OP's questions.... You do not want to use a spacer. That will push the wheels out and will cause more problems.

This is my car with the Nismo suspension and 18x8" wheels (+35 offset). These are the 245/45 BFG KDW2's. These are the "biggest" tires (for the size) that I have run. I am also using a 3/8" spacer on the rear spings as mentioned above. I am probably around 2-2.5 degrees of negative camber.
