Front brake upgrades help rear wear?

I was wondering if anyone has put a big brake kit on the front, which in turn, reduced wear on the stock rears. Or, Brembo coupe owners - do you have reduced rear pad wear vs. non-Brembo coupe owners? I was at the track yesterday, and someone who should know, said upgrading the fronts would naturally help the rear wear. I need to do something to reduce the load on the rears (since I'm going through pads and glazing the rotors). I'm wondering though, if I'm at the "limit" now in the front, with the front antiskid cycling on hard braking, putting a bigger brake on the front won't really reduce the work done by the back; unless I create more traction in the front (more tire). It almost seems like I need to put a big brake kit on the back alone. Incidently, I went through EBC Greenstuff pads just like stock pads - like butter. Can't say they did any better with heat either - after one round the rotors were coated with a bluish film (not rotor "bluing"), presumably from the pads pretty much melting. Thanks for any help.
