"all seaon" is worthless in the snow. You'll want dedicated snow tires.

has anyone ever just put the same size on all the way around? then at least i could rotate front to rear on each side to save a little rubber

yea i was gonna say.. lol

well you can always look for non-directional tires so that way you can just swap them left to right if you want...

or you can do what i do with my directional tires and have them fully dismounted from the rim then rotate the inside tread-out.. cost a lil more but worth it to me

well, ive narrowed it down to 5 options, maybe you guys can help me get it to one. the goodyear gts have the highest treadwear rating and that is probably the most important to me, but they are the most expensive. all prices i listed are approximate but include shipping, mounting, and balancing.

1 Kumho Ecsta SPT...$850....320 treadwear.........www.tirerack.com
FR..245/35/19
RR..255/40/19

2 Goodyear GT.........$914.....400 treadwear.........www.tirerack.com
FR..245/35/19
RR..245/40/19

3 Cooper Zeon 2XS...$852.....280 treadwear.........www.onlinetires.com
FR..245/35/19
RR..255/40/19

4 Hankook V12 K110..$748....no treadwear rating...www.onlinetires.com
FR..225/40/19
RR..255/40/19

5 Falken FK452.........$770....300 treadwear..........www.edgeracing.com
FR..245/35/19
RR..255/40/19

i could get wider front tires on with the hankooks for another 13 bucks each, but thought that was too much money for just going up to the 255. i would prefer wider tires though as long as they dont cause me any problems. right now im leaning toward the kumhos, goodyears, and falkens. what do you guys think?

Remember, no matter how high the treadwear, if you get road damage (e.g. nail in the sidewall), you STILL have to replace the tire.

i'd go hankook's only because i wanna try those next lol second choice would be the goodyears, then after that would be the falken's

btw the hankook v12's have a 280 treadwear rating.. but like stated earlier.. thats only relative to each manufacturer

i understand the treadwear ratings are relative, but 280 is still pretty low even in a relative state imo. i think the goodyears are the only ones considered an allseason on that list, why do you want to try the hankooks next?

the hankooks v12's just had good reviews on its wet/dry performance against many other high priced tires.. according to that german magazine... but i haven't heard anything about them as far as treadwear.. more or less curiousity i guess haha

btw, the general exclaim uhp's have a 380 treadwear but those are summer tires.. i've had those before and i liked them.. they lasted at least 20k miles for me with bad alignment/camber issues.. so im sure they could of lasted longer

i have yokohama avid w4s' on my 20's now.. they're uhp all-season tires.. and i love them but they don't come in 19's.. it jumps from 18's to 20's.. idk why.. kinda weird if you ask me lol

i looked at the general exclaims but could not find a size for the rear. i found them in a 245/35/19 but could not find a 255/40 or 245/40. i was hoping to get those but unless you can think of another size i could use for the rear, guess im outa luck there

I've heard about tire company's plugging radials which really surprises me
even if you live in Kansas. I have throw away at least 2 tires in the last
10 years that had nails in the sidewalls. One was brand new but plugging
or even patching side walls is dangerous as hell. We have radial tires, the
sidewalls flex and not a tire shop in my neighborhood will patch/plug. You
definitely need new tires....that's crazy!
