whats up guys. I got the stock 19's also but my rear tires are 245/40r19. Thats what my pops got back when he was driving the G and recently had the back ones replaced (he got Yokohama S Drives)
Now I need fronts. The is I cant find the S drives in a 225 or anything else other than 245 (even found a 275). Will getting the Advanced Sport Yoko's be all right..? And do I really need to stick to the 225 for the fronts if my rears are 245?
Thanks!

I'm quiet surprised how much my RE050A's have lasted. I have done over 10 canyon runs, and 60 drag racing runs, along with 22,000 miles, and I still have some thread on them (factory freak?)
I think they are above average tires. They grip well on dry, and they're also pretty good in rain. But they do have alot of road noise. And their treadwear rating is below average (though mine seemed to have held up very well).
The Goodyear Eagle F1 GS-D3 seem to fair pretty well in dry & wet, but they supposedly have a soft side wall.
The Michelin Pilot PS2's are probably the best tires you can get for the street, but they are very expensive.
I think I might give the PS2's a chance and see if they are as great as all the owners state they are. (They're on $100,000+ exotics, so I have high expectations on them).

The RE050A is on the Enzo
Okay, so the Enzo has it's own version, but theyre still RE050A's.
Your tire wear, from my observation, is normal. Most people blowing through them in 15k or less are driving excessively hard. You drive agressively, but use proper technique, which does a lot for tire wear. (I'm guessing you also leave VDC on for the most part).

The PS2's, while expensive, are worth the money in my eyes. They have a relatively good tire life, are quieter than most out there, are very sticky, and yet do well in the rain. It's a good all around tire that doesn't sacrifice any dry performance.

fair enough....but humor me and pretend your priorities are inline with mine. now which of the 5 would you get?
If you're penny pinching on wear and tear items, you may want to re-consider G35 ownership...
I fail to see the logic of (far too many customers) putting in 87 gas in an engine designed for 91. I also fail to see the logic of putting cheap tires in place of performance ones.

man, i dont know what your problem is, but i hardly consider a set of $800 tires penny pinching. my car gets nothing but the best treatment. so i want a tire that lasts longer, so what. i looked at over 20 different tires, and the treads were all very similiar. as a sponsor of this site, you would think you would treat the members a little bit better. ive gotten a lot of help from ppl in this thread, excluding you however. and i never use 87 octane in this car, i read manuals
