18x8 / 18x9 with 225-45 & 255-40 ?????

how will this set up look ?

I have 235/40 R 18 on my coupe wheels and love that size. For a staggered set up will the above look good ? Still low profile enough ?

thanks

any pics of these set up's ?

what I mean is how will those tire sizes look on those wheels ? Concerned they will be too skinny for the wheel and/or too tall on the sidewall for my taste.

^well, im running 245/40/18 and they are stretched, but 40 is too low a series, i need to be running 45, my odometer read 5mph too fast.

I would run 245/45 up front, and you could run 265/45 in the rear!
smaller wheel=taller tire
just how it is, unless you dont mind your odometer being off!

these OEM coupe wheels are 18x8 correct ?

I like how flush and low profile the 235/40's are on this wheel. Hoping the above combo will look as good.

Otherwise I'll look at going with 235/40's on 18X8 and 265/35's on 18X9's for a more low profile look.

so with 18x8 fronts and 18x9 rears....

225/45 & 255/40's would look OK and speedo would be correct

and

235/40 & 265/35's would look best and speed would be a little fast ?

is this right ?

smaller circumfrence=faster odometer reading.
so yeah i believe the 265's would read faster on the odo

Im not sure what the stock tire sizes are on the 18's(never had them)
but they say you should keep the size within a 3% range from the stock size
You can find a tire size calculator online!

But yes your 2nd sizeswould be small but if you don't mind the speedo diff. then its all good, just make sure it's within the 3% range!

Both a tad small but acceptable:

Specification Sidewall Radius Diameter Circumference Revs/Mile Difference
215/55-17 4.7in 13.2in 26.3in 82.7in 767 0.0%
225/45-18 4.0in 13.0in 26.0in 81.6in 777 -1.3%
255/40-18 4.0in 13.0in 26.0in 81.8in 775 -1.1%
