If your making enough power.. yes..

Better if that wheel was heavier though.

Track, yes, if its drag racing...

Street. No

That would be almost equivalent to getting a lower final drive ratio.

.

How so? Anything that has to do with a final drive changes your gearing..

How would a smaller/larger wheel diameter change your top speed/ the way your car is geared?

I'm just talking about 1 inch of a difference

18 front 19 rear or 19 front 20 rear

Vipers have 18 front and 19 rear Tovarish at least the 04s. Seems to work fine for those cars.

At first I thought Joker was referring to the overall diameter of the wheel. But it seems he's talking about rim sizes.

If he keeps the same overall wheel diameter (meaning a lower tire profile as he gets larger rims), it shouldn't impact his gearing. Wheels are part of the gearing too

Bigger wheel is equivalent to a higher gear; go faster ultimately, but take more time accelerating. Think of the radius as a lever arm.

i think you should clarify if you mean larger rim w/same overal diameter or larger diameter wheel and tire.

if you mean the latter, your acceleration will suffer on the track, but you will increase gas mileage if you do a lot of highway driving.

I actually like the look of a 1" smaller wheel on the front. Always thought the Vette's looked cool like that...

If the overall tire height is more... Then your speedo will read slower than you really are and you will essentially save milage on your car/odometer. SOoooo, with that in mind I see a Street Advantage there...
