2008 G35S Journey Wheel Curb Rash
2008 G35S Journey Wheel Curb Rash
So my wife was driving the car tonight and she rubbed a curb. We now have about 9 inch rash on the left rear wheel.
the car has 18" alloys so I'm trying to figure out if it's something I can just sand out, or would it just be better to have someone fix it?
I'll get a picture tomorrow.
Car is only 3 weeks old and I've been doing everything to keep it pretty and this **** happens. GRRRRRR.

I have a similar issue with my right side wheels but the rashes are only 1/2 inch long and i have had an estimate done.
It would cost 100$ per wheel to fix.
In regards to the wife driving the car, well i have to wake up an hour earlier to drive the wife instead of her taking the car, just because I really don't trust her driving habits as a new driver.

ooh i know the feeling, my wife took my new tahoe for a spin and returned with yellow **** all on the front left tire. i asked her did she hit anything and she said no. so i rephrased the question and asked if she ran up on a curb and she she didnt think so. man when i went to go to work the next morning my steering will was tilted slightly west. alignment was off!

Just an update. I would not recommend this service now. After about 6 months the pain they used discolored and would not clean properly any longer. I went ahead and just took off all the paint from the repair with some lacquer thinner. Now I just need to figure out a way to fix it.
