OEM 19" Rays... Tire size suggestions
Can't post any with my phone. Go to my garage profile on my350z.com. I still have pics there of my old setup which were 245/255x35, visually its almost identical to a square setup.
I have decided to go with the Michelin Pilot Sport AS 245/35/19 all around just hope looks nice as I have always had the staggered look. Also I was not able to find any of your pictures herrschaft.
Shops will recommend 245x40 since thats the stock size. You won't have any VDC issues with a 35 series all around. And I'm definitely not the only run who ran this setup before. Below, 245/255x35x19
I don't know why but the front tire looks taller to me than rear. I thought it would be the other way around. Thanks for the picture it helps to see that front would look great! Now I am a bit confused to go with same all around or copy your sizes 245/255.
Do you have any issues with abs or traction control? That is what sales rep told me could happen if I did not followed Nissan's/Infiniti specs of 1/2-3/4" difference between front and rears. I wanted 245/35/19 all around as several seem to run this setup without issues. Do you have pictures of your setup? I am into looks and do not want car to look weird.

245/40/19 front 255/40/19 rear.
Fat tire FTW!
here is another way to look at tire size.
255/35/19
Sidewall: 3.5 in
Radius: 13.0 in
Diameter: 26.0 in
Circumference: 81.8 in
Revs/mile: 775.0
255/40/19
Sidewall: 4.0 in
Radius: 13.5 in
Diameter: 27.0 in
Circumference: 84.9 in
Revs/mile: 746.0
So a smaller tire makes 29 more revs per mile.
Say your tire lasts 15k 15000*29= 435000. So through out it's life your larger tire going to turn 435k less than smaller one. 435000/746=583 your smaller tire will wear out 583 miles faster than larger one (giving that during the entire life of both tires they were properly maintained and were subjected to ideal driving conditions)
Obviously there is also difference in cost which plays against larger tires.
And also large tires have more sidewall so handling slightly suffers in the corners, but ride comfort improves.
My main decision points to go with 255/40 in the rear were improved comfort and look of a fat tire.

Wow lots of great info! I actually love the wide tire look and if I can find a tire that I can use on the front and rear I will purchase. I currently was interested on 245/35/19 all around but just recently was informed of 245/40/19 all around. If some are using this size please let me know if you recommend this or not. Thank you once again for all your great information!

here is my 245/40/19 all around....

i'd reccomend to anyone 245 35 in the front and 255 35 if i were to do it again
It was probably low on air. I would routinely drop them to 20psi when at the strip and didn't always fill them up immediately afterwards.
Herrschaft thank you for that information I did think it was weird that the front looked higher. I currently am waiting on receiving my discount tire card to order them. There is a website that does not charge shipping nor taxes as it is outside my state and was cheaper by $15 per tire so Dough (I think that's how you spell his name) from Discount Tire Direct matched the previous (no tax and no shipping) and beat their price by another $15. So at the end I am saving quite a bit. Also, there is now a $70 rebate from Michelin so that will help pay for the insurance. All of this is for the Michelin Pilot Sport A/S 245/35/19 now I need to see if there will be a major price difference for the 245/40/19 which look wider. I need them to be as wide as possible as my wife has scraped my front rims and hope the wider tire will save them a bit.
Also, about the "look" that the front tire is slightly taller might have to do with the fact that the front fender weld if a tiny bit larger than the rear.. Or at least thats what it seems like to me.
