Tein H.TECH Springs vs. EIBACH G35 ProKit

I know many people have already probably asked this and it can be found everywhere in these forums. But what the hell (im at work and bored as sh**) I know everyone has an opinion on what ones to get (either for better handling or lowering effects). I also know about the problems with the balence and needing to buy a camber kit for around $500 but what can be done with either of the two spring sets in attempts to avoid spending the extra money?

Is it worth it to buy either one of these (and which one - opinions) without the camber kit? My interest is the lower the coupe but also keep a smooth ride. what are the best options for this? also if anyone has pictures of their cars with either the Tein H Springs or the EIBACH pro kit, if you could post those, that would be cool. thanks.

Re: Tein H.TECH Springs vs. EIBACH G35 ProKit

I like the Tein's it's the first set I ever owned. Initial quality on the ride is good you can't even feel it when you're on surface streets. Once you get on the fwy it's another story. As happy as I am with the Tein's it still needs help. I don't know if Koni's came out with adjustables already, but that is what I am waiting for. I just recently installed a Hotchkis sway bar and that helped out a bit.

I personally don't like Eibachs always seem to have problems with it when I installed it on my previous car. I have installed a lot of suspension before it seem to come in batches. I have installed some with no problem for years but then there are some that has problems right after install. I don't know why that is I guess manufacturing quality is not standard. This is not to flame anyone with Eibachs this is just based on my experience with them. Like I said some gave me no problem but there are some that never seem to work right from the get go.

Goodluck on your mods hope this helped you out.

Just in case any sedan owner reads this thread (all coupe owners have replied that I can tell).

Sedan Eibachs and Coupe Eibachs are not the same, even though sedan and coupe Teins do use the same spring rates.

G35 Sedan Eibach spring rates 259/334 front 359/413 rear
G35 Coupe Eibach spring rates 229/337 front 274/463 rear
Tein H-tech for both 324/263
Oem for both 314/342

My Eibachs are getting installed as we speak. I will have a ride report with the Eibach springs and sways (as well as before and after pics) by the end of the week!

Now i heard the 350z springs are compatible with g35s and the spring ratios are better then that of the g35s. would it be better to get them?

Re: Tein H.TECH Springs vs. EIBACH G35 ProKit

On my old 240sx ProKit intstall yielded rear negative camber of 2.1 degrees. Just FYI most bimmers run 2.5 stock.
So I wouldn't worry about camber problems with ProKit.

You do drive a coupe, right? I'm only asking in this case because if you drive a sedan, the drop amounts would be higher. But to answer you question, yes that is true.

To recap,

Oem spring rates 350Z, G35 Coupe and sedan with sport suspension
314/342

Eibach spring rates Sedan, Coupe and 350Z
G35s 259/334 front 359/413 rear
G35c 229/337 front 274/463 rear
350z 296/384 front 316/421 rear

Tein springs for G35 coupe/Sedan
Tein H-tech Front:324 Rear:260 F+ 5% R-22%
Transfers +27% spring stiffness to front

Tein S-tech Front:358 Rear:274 R+14% R-18%
Transfers +32% spring stiffness to front

Tein Springs for the 350Z
Tein S-tech Front:386 Rear:402 F+23% R+16%
Transfers +7% springs stiffness to front

Tein H-tech 350z Front:358 Rear:375 F+14% R+11%
Transfers +3% spring stiffness to front

RSR 350Z springs (includes Ti2000 350Z spring)
Front:345 Rear:417 F+10% R+22%
Transfers +12% spring stiffness to front

Gsedan35

How would the lower rear spring rates of the G Tein springs affect handling? Understeer/Oversteer?

Thanks
