my gts doesnt clear my bbk.. need help..

so before i ordered my volks.. i asked around and everyone including the vendor told me 19x9.5 +17 and 19x10.5 +18 will clear BBKs.. but today after getting tires mounted on.. i realized that the rear did not clear my ap racing brakes.. i will need spacers.. what kind do i get?? i was able to get the wheel on and everything but the wheel just barely touches my brakes therefore making it unable to spin.. if i get spacers wouldnt the things that stick out not be long enough for me to securely lock my lug nuts?? i have no experience with this.. any help is great! thanks.. what spacers should i get?? thanks

if it barely touches, you can get a 3 or 5 mm spacer and clear the brakes. With a 3mm spacer you will have PLENTY of threads left on the studs for the lugs to grab safely. Some people recommend extended studs with 5mm spacers, but you can run them without. Get extended studs if want to be 110% sure about safety.

FWIW, one of the local members snapped a few studs while running 5mm spacers without extended studs, i believe while running GT-S's, so you might want to keep that in mind. use washers to see if 3mm is enough clearance
