DO NOT recommend cutting drop springs...
For all of you out there that are thinking about cutting your drop springs to make your car lower...I would think twice!!!...I did it and it looks hella cool but the ride suffers hardcore!!!...I am debating putting my car back to stock...Just some insight before anyone makes the same mistake I made...Also, forgot to say that at the height my car is at right now with 19's I have about 2.5" of clearance between the ground and my exhaust pipes...Damn near scrapes everything!!!...LOL!

Geez man, it's not a freakin' Chevy S-10. If we can afford to buy and maintain this car, i'm sure we can afford another $140 to $175 in lowering springs depending what brand you want to use.
03.5 BS, 6MT, premium, 19" Kaizer wheels, Skyline badges, PIAA HID upgrade, Racing pedals, clear lenses, 35% tint, 7-wire ground, TEIN basics, side mirror blinkers

Re: DO NOT recommend cutting drop springs...
Well I won't say anything other then explain why the ride went bad. When you cut off or reduce the number of active coils that make up a spring, you actually stiffen it.
For instance if you cut off 1 of the 4 active coils off the coupe spring in the rear, the spring rate goes from 342lbs to 457lbs, that's 34% stiffer, cut of 1.5 coils and the spring rate goes to 548lbs. Yeah the stock shocks are not going to like that, LOL.

i cant believe you did that.. can you say duh? i learned that when i was 16. A friend told me it was ghetto and i never asked twice. Being ghetto was enough reason for me. well, the good thing is you learned a relatively cheap lesson and it can be fixed with some ease. Good luck....and next time ask b4 you do something that bold.
