Rebuild TPMS? TPMS Missing Parts? FYI for all

If you purchase a TPMS for your G35 from the Infiniti dealer, they supply with a new one, but you will notice that the metal nut/spacer sleeve that threads on is missing. When asking the dealer for that part, they do not show it in their system or have available for sale.

I found out what to do on this forum:

Some great info!

The manufacturer of the TPMS for our vehicles from the factory is Shrader-Bridgeport.

Shrader makes a TPMS repair kit which is relatively cheap. In this kit you receive a metal nut/spacer sleeve, nickel-plated valve insert, rubber washer, & new cap. (Read the forum link on why it's very important to have certain types of metal from this kit)

The one's needed for our vehciles is the Shcrader AirAware 20007 TPMS Repair kit. (I ordered at Autozone online). They are around $3/ea depending where you purchase.

Hope this helps anyone who ran across the same problem as me.

Thanks, this is great info. I just bought a used TPMS set from someone here and they didn't have any cores and only 1 cap. I wasn't sure what to do, but this post told me. I'm just going to buy 4 service kits.

A word of advice. Buy them locally if you can. I found them on mulitple websites, but everyone had an additional handling charge of $8, so 4 of them shipped was over $28. I called a local Advanced store and he can order them for $2.99 each. Even with tax it's less than half the online price. Other local parts stores can probably order them too.
