Is it possible to put the same size tire in the front and the rear?

Yes, in fact, this is a great idea if you want to autocross or drift. It will increase the Gs oversteer qualities. Thanks Eagle1 or the great lesson.

But won't putting the same size tire on the front and back mess up your VDC since the computer is looking for the staggered tire size. I've heard of people who do that and everytime they take a turn or corner the VDC kicks on. Just my thoughts...

try it and find out. find a sedan owner, bolt em up and go. see what happens. don't forget to reimburse the sedan owner for any rubber you lay down (tires is expensive, even 17" ones)

However when you are driving with VDC off you will hit your limit later
