19" or 20" Wheels....... Decisions.... Decisions

Sorry if these Q's has been discussed. Are 19' wheels more ideal for the coupes? Is 20" wheels more for looks than for performance? Thought that was reason, since performance wheels like Volks and Racing Harts Wheels largest rims was 19", until Volk finally made 20" gtc's. However Iforged, HRE's do sell larger wheels, but probably ideal for high-dollar luxury peformance cars, and suv's. Just seems more g-owners prefer 19', not sure if cost is the biggest factor, since a 1" jump can be from $500 to $1000+ more or if 20" wheels are just too damm big. Anyone with 19" wheels, wishing they had gone with 20's or vice versa? ........... I know my decision will depend on what I want from my ride, but nice to have a little of both worlds ( performance and looks ), which the stock G already has. ............. Thanks for all replies.

I had 19" RH Pro J5's on my car, and it looked great and the car still performed well in terms of 1/4 times. I have since then made the jump to 20's, and though the car definitely feels more sluggish I love the way the 20's look over the 19's by far. It fills up the gaps near perfect and it's more than great.

For me, the car is quick enough as it is - I didn't purchase it to go flying down the street at WOT. I bought it to cruise around in comfortably and enjoy the car as a whole. All depends on your personal preference I think, but I surely enjoy having 20's on the Coupe

Thanks for the feedback. I see 19's everywhere and they just don't "look" as good as the 20's. I agree that 20's have to be heavier and effect the performance, but that's just more reason to beef up the motor, right? =)

Thanks for the input. Good post.

Yeah, seems more g-owners do have 19's. Maybe the wheels chosen was not available in 20's, or if Brembos was an issue, other than price issue of 20's. G's with 20's do look pretty sick! However lowered or slammed G's with 19's look sicker! Possible Camber issue is the draw back.

I agree w/ jason...the car is fast enough for me. I went with 20's and I could not be more happy. 19's on a G are just too small IMO.
