225/55r17 vs 225/50r17

2007 G35X Sedan.
Stock tires are 225/55r17.

The options for tires are much better with the 50.
Will they fit on the stock rims?

TIA

I run 215/55 in the Winter and 225/50 in the summer. No problems. For the two sizes that you're asking about the only difference should be that your car will sit a little lower and your speedometer will read slightly faster ~3%.
