19s v. 18s ride quality

Forgive me if this has already been discussed...tried 'searching' but to no avail.

I will be purchasing new wheels soon. My question is regarding the ride quality differences between 19s v. 18s? I too agree that 19s look better, however, that is not the info that I seek.

Please lend me your honest opinions for those that have had both sizes. Anyone go back to 18s because of the harshness of the 19s?

Also, wouldn't it be nice if we had a current list of wheel weights? Perhaps each sponsor could provide this info for their current stock. I believe this would help the decision process for everyone interested in purchasin wheels. And the sticky at top needs updating.
Thanks!

I went from 17's to 19's on my coupe. Actually seems quieter on most roads - more solid, but a few rough surfaced roads are somewhat louder. The 17" Goodyear RS-A's had a reputation for noise, so maybe my 19" Bridgestone SO3's are just that much of a better tire re noise even with the lower profile.

I bought my G35 Coupe with 19" Antera wheels and the ride is tight. One thing with the 19" wheels is that they hug the road and if the road is bumpy then you will feel the bumps. They also wear a lot faster - 10k-14k and they are more expensive to replace (~$300 per tire).

Like JED, I also upgraded from the Bridgestone RS-A's to 19's with Michelin Pilot Sport's. I really can't tell much of a difference at all in the ride, to be honest with you. The car drives so much better it is fantastic, it's like a new vehicle altogether.
