the pilot sports are 220. However, the treadwear ratings should be taken with a grain of salt especially between different manufacturers.

Re: treadwear on tires?!

Treadwear is a function of load and load index also. If you want longer life in the same tire just changes sizes to get a higher load index. Roughly the gain [%] in load index is reflected in the same or greater {%} of life extension, some times adding 6% [increased load safety margin] can get you 10-12% even 20% increase in tire life due to lower peak internal [where tread block attaches to tread carcass] temperatures.

Lots depends on how /what wears them......spinning burn outs or road roughness slewing..........modern roads surfaces[ rough ashpalt] are designed [byproduct of it] to wear tires fast to improve wet grip!

Kind of counter to improving automobile mileage increased road friction.......but wet kills on a smooth low friction roadway.

Re: treadwear on tires?!

well i dotn really launch my car. I chirp the occasional gear and get sideways occasionally (mostly when its wet out), but i realize that that changes the life of my tires. I just didnt want to get tires that i would be replacing in 8k miles or somehting
