Vdc activates when changing 2 tires

I like most have all the tire issues that come with G35 Coupe ownership which comprises of front inside feathering and rear middle tread wear. I have the base 17s and use all the stock sizes and factory rims. I just changed my rear 2 tires to new General Exclaim UHPs (235/50/17) and have a little more than 50% tread on my front Goodyear RSAs (225/50/17). Immediately upon driving on highway ramps, the VDC kicks in trying to brake the side of the car that is leaning into the turn. I had Avon 550s on the rears before with no problems. I'm going to go under the assumption that our cars do not always like having just 2 tires changed at a time and some brands do not cooperate with other make tires. It can have something to do with the newer tires deep tread offsetting the more worn set of remaining tires. I guess I'll need to change the entire set or get 2 tires for the rear that are less aggressive. I can also see how summer tires should not be mixed with A/S tires.

new tires are very slippery, you just need to break them in for a couple of hundred miles.

They are not slipping. They are just activating the VDC which results in the car braking. I would try keeping the tires for a few hundred miles, but I only have a few more weeks before I can return them to tirerack for a refund.

they are slipping, you might not feel it but that is why the VDC is activating. VDC will sense when there's slippage and go to work.

I just finished reading 3 G35 Coupe reviews on tirerack for the General Exclaim UHPs. They all complained about slipping and the VDC kicking on during mild cornering. One owner claims that the dealer admits that these tires do not work with our cars. Oh well, looks like they will be going back to tirerack.

The idiots at Infiniti put tire dressing all over the sidewalls of my new rear tires. Can that have any affect on my VDC issues? How long will it take before the VDC gets used to the new tires? I hate returning tires, it's a pain.

give it 200-300 miles and they should be broken in. When they mold the tires it leaves a slick surface on the rubber which you need to wear out before you get to the meat of the tire. Seriously give it some time and it will get better. You could always try burning out to accelerate the process.

The same exact thing happened to me when I got my rear tires replaced. But I think you should just give it some time. My car doesnt slip as much and i've had them on for about 150 miles already

After 150 miles, the VDC is still kicking in. I will be returning the tires on Monday for a credit from tirerack, less the shipping. In addition, around 70mph, the rear of my car felt dangerously "squirmy" when I turned the sterring wheel back and forth from left to right. I don't remember that feel with my previous tires. The other issue I'm overly concerned about was mixing the new rear tires which were Summer performance tires with the all season fronts (General Exclaim UHP rear and Goodyear RSA front). I was told by tirerack that it could present a dangerous situation in an emergency stop occurence. Anyway, the tires are going back, and I'm getting 2 new All Season Hankook Ventus V4s to replace the General Exclaim UHPs. At least it won't be a total loss with the credit. Live and learn.
