proper way to install wheel lugs?

yah i've done that before, it's not as bad as you guys make it.. it's not like im moving around and shaking it, however i wouldnt recomment it on the oem jack, i've always had a floor jack to clarify not the oem crappy one

^I do/have, not with just the jack though, but with jack stands sure. Hopefully not just with a jack though Dre!!!

always use jack stands when getting into the car!

i don't know anyone that uses jackstands when changing wheels, and I don't recommend getting into a car on ANY jack. They all have wheels, hence they can roll

I meant the jack, getting into a car can shift the jack and cause it to slip

Gotcha, true, but would take ALOT of effort, assuming you jacked the car up correctly to begin with!

Damn, anyways, we're getting way off topic here. So yeah OP, you've got your answer on page 1!

Yea. To remove, break the lugs while the wheels is on the ground. Once you jack it up fully remove the lugs. To put the lugs back on, hand tighten them while the wheel is still on the jack stand, and fully torque them when the car is on the ground. Use the star pattern so that everything is tightened evenly. After 50 miles or so, re-torque the lugs.

Better yet, never get into the car when it's off the ground.
