Winter tires setup

Ok guys, I look aroudn the forum but didn't really get all the fact I need.
I got a 2k7 g35 with sport wheel. They're the 19" with 225 up front and 245 in the back (if I remember correctly). I need some winter setup so I'm thinking of getting some OEM 17 and buy some blizzak or m3 and put it on. So 2 question.

1) will the 17" fit and be fine on my car?
2) does it matter which size tires I get? On tirerack I select the standard wheel and pick the 22 & 245. IS this ok?

Thanks

I ran 17's on my car in the winter and it worked great. Can do the same with yours. I went narrow as possible with a 225/50-17 front and 225/55-17 rear. If you don't see a lot of snow but still needs snows, a 225/50-17 front 235/50-17 rear is also possible.

You can see all the minus sizing package options at the following link Search for Winter / Snow Tires by Vehicle
